FISH FARMING IN NORTHERN UGANDA

The Tochi Heights fish farm in North Uganda demonstrates the considerable potential that the expansion of fish farming in the rural areas offers.
The scheme to assist in the development of small scale fish farms has already taken root in the locality of Gulu where three youth groups have already been trained by the Northern Uganda Youth Development Centre (NUYDC) Gulu, one group has successfully established its own farm. Development and roll-out of the scheme is being co-ordinated by the NUYDC with whom BCCT will be working.

BRITISH CONSULTANCY CHARITABLE TRUST (BCCT) has as its primary aim  the promotion and mentoring of sustainable enterprise, offering a full range of services to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through its volunteer advisers.
